SSC CPO EXAM
Selection Process:
The SSC CPO selection process includes 4 stages, the details of which are given below:
STAGE I : The first stage of the SSC CPO Exam is Paper I. Candidates meeting the minimum marks criteria and clearing the cutoff of Paper I are shortlisted for appearing in the PST/PET Examination.
STAGE II: Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET)
- The PST/PET is mandatory but qualifying in nature.
- Ex-servicemen are not required to undergo PET.
- Only those candidates who qualify in PST/PET will be allowed to appear in the Paper-II Examination.
STAGE III: Aspirants who qualify the PST/PET will appear in PAPER II(ENGLISH only).
On the basis of their performance in Paper-I and Paper-II (including bonus marks in case of NCC certificate), candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in the Medical Examination.
STAGE IV: Medical Examination
The next stage after Paper II is the Medical Examination. The candidate’s physical and mental health will be examined during this stage to check if the candidate is free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
*The SSC CPO Examination consists of Paper I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper II, and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
All these stages of the examination are mandatory.
